Inspiration from Palau

Recently, we have seen an exciting article in the New York Times. The article shares that the country of Palau will be banning sunscreens that hurt the coral reefs. If you have read the “Your Job” tab on our website, you will notice that we have written that oxybenzone is one of the leading chemicals in sunscreen that kills reefs. Along with oxybenzone, there are many other chemicals that are a threat to the coral reefs. The article says that the ban will take place in 2020, where a list of 10 chemicals often found in sunscreen will be ban from the country. Sunscreen with these chemicals brought into the country will be confiscated at security. We are so excited that Palau has addressed this issue and we hope that soon, this will be addressed worldwide!
